996 Turbo Tiptronic - Help?

I am looking to move to a 996 Tiptronic sometime soon from my 996 C2 Manual. Having owned a 996 C2 Tiptronic previously I admit that it is a bit of a compromise but a slipped disc does not allow me to drive a manual comfortably anymore and a (albeit brief) test drive last year has confirmed my thoughts that the characteristics of the Turbo motor suit the automatic box better than the C2.
I have one question though that maybe somebody can help me with. Has anybody come across a different steering wheel for the Tip with just one button each side e.g. left for down and right for up (like the DB7 Touchtronic) ??
I am sure that when I owned my previous car in 2001 that this sort of set up was available from someone like Techart (have checked them already but no joy).

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help !![:)]

As an existing owner of a 996TT Tiptronic, I can't quite see why that would be an advantage, as with the 2 buttons, it doesn't matter which way the wheel is turned there is always 1 button at the top. Still each to his own [;)]

Good another potential Turbo owner, do it you know it makes sense !!!.

First suggestion...visit the osteopath, then you can get a manual.....only joking.
The Turbo has so much torque that you shouldn't miss one gear too much & as you say it is probably the most suited to tiptronic from the Porker range, for the same reason.
I think Gaxor has wise words, live with the car for while BEFORE deciding on any changes, you can't really tell enough on a test drive !
Let us know if you take the plunge.

Thanks for comments both! I just found the buttons fiddly on my last tiptronic and the down one side , up on the other just seems more logical to me although i do take the point about diffculty when the wheel is turned. In the M3 i tend to change on the stick rather than the paddles on e.g. an exit from roundabout.

Going to Paragon saturday to talk some numbers on my C2 ...... watch this space !

As to the osteopath - not much help when dsic already slipped [:(]
