996 turbo

Looking at going the 996 turbo route circa 2004. Are there any facelift/model changes/issues I should be aware of? What are the "musts" from the option list? Is manual/tip` just personal choice and will it affect resale. Is it the view that turbo prices have bottomed out and views on the car as a daily drive would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
