996 values up and goodbye

I've just sold my 2003 C4S back to the supplying dealer for £3500 more than I was offered in Jan this year so it seems that 996 values have increased quite significantly recently. The dealer told me that there is a shortage of good used 996's at the moment. I'm rather embarassed to admit this but I'm buying an E92 M3 (latest model) as a replacement for various reasons that I won't bore you with. So, for the first time in a few years I'm Porscheless and, to be honest, I'm missing the C4S already and wondering whether I've done the right thing. So, for anyone in the market for a nice 996 C4S, check out the basalt black/red leather 52k miler advertised on the Cridfords website. If anyone is seriously interested, I'm happy to give a warts 'n all report although in truth, there were few warts during my ownership. I've already promised myself I will have another 911 some time but I guess it will be a 997 so it's cheerio to the 996 forum

with apologies i seem to have looked at the wrong car! your black one is still up for grabs...be quick!!!!!!

Just to back up the increased value

I went on the site advertised on TV 'we'll buy any car .com' or something like that

Initially i was offered a very poor price for my low milegae MY03 C2, then about two weeks later the offer went up by nearly 5K! making it quite tempting to sell and then go in for the kill elsewhere with cash ! on anice 997 or something !

So if you go on there wait for an improved offer, don't just dismiss the first

Interesting to see a shift in prices. I wonder is demand coupled with consumer confidence rising?

Any chance of a mini report and comparison between the e92 and the 996 please?

Good luck with new purchase.....
