996 vs Boxster (986) floor mats

Hi,

Maybe a strange question but...

I need some new floor mats for my 996 C4S, and have found (unsurprisingly) that they are sold as a set of 4... My rear mats have never been stepped on (!) therefore wondered if I could save a few £ and buy Boxter mats instead as I would assume they are the same as 996 front mats - anyone know if this is the case or not?

You can do this, and it will save you a good few £ this is what i did and i told them so at my OPC they did say that it was common and as far as they are concerned it was a good idea. Also mention that you are a PCGB member and you shall get 10% off if they offer this discount.

Justin,

If it makes you feel better as for a 996 GT3 mat set, same price as a Boxster, same 2 mats, just sounds better at the parts desk.[;)]
