996C4 Loud whirring noise with aircon on....?

Hi can amyone help got a fellow R26 member doing the grand tour of Europe, enjoying the Stelvio Pass, reports bas whirring sound from the aircon after 10 mins running - air tem is 30 degrees. Is anyhting else run off the same belt as the air-con, thats important like power steering or alteranator?

Any pointers much appreciated
 
Richard, I am getting the same noise but mine has recently been serviced as I had to have the two rad's replaced. The noise goes when I turn the air con off. Any ideas?
 
Thanks Richard for the advice. he has switched the aircon off and will get it looked at when he gets back to the UK.

It is quite often low pressure which causes it, so it would be worth taking it back and getting them to check the charge.
