996TT Boost Pressure

Hi all,

For some time my 996TT has been reading zero bar pressure boost on the indicator as there was a sensor problem. I have had the required parts changed and the car now registers boost, but doesn't get over 0.5 bar pressure even when hitting 7000 revs quickly.

I know there are various factors that influence the amount of pressure required when driving, but am pretty sure 0.5 bar seems pretty low. The car is pulling as you would expect a 996TT to do so. Would appreciate if any other 996TT owners could share what levels of turbo boost pressure the car shows when accelerating in the different gears.

Thanks in advance.

In 4th gear you should 99% of the time get 0.7 bar. I know mine does.

If your not getting full boost it might be worth changing your dv's as these leak boost over time.
