996tt odd vibrations

Its just about to go in for a service but to avoid the usual "didn't notice anything" discussion any suggestions about the source of an odd vibration would be much appreciated!

On accelerating slowly through about 50 mph (mostly at low revs, particularly uphill) I get a fairly loud metallic vibration which seems to be coming from the front of the car.

It doesnt happen at any other speeds or under harder acceleration so I just wondered if anyone had come across a similar noise?
