Whilst reading Paul Frere's book, "Porsche 911 story", it happens to mention the performance figures for the 959 achieved by Auto, Motor & Sport.
These were for a sport version, of which only 6 were made.
The figures can be compared to those published by Autocar for a 996tt with the X50 upgrade.
996tt 959
0-60 3.8 3.7 (0-62)
0-100 8.4 8.3 (0-99.5)
Standing qtr mile 11.7 11.9
Standing km 22.1 21.6
(if the formatting gets messed up, it's the forum)
