996TT Wanted - Where should I be checking?

Autotrader, eBay Motors and PH Classifieds on a daily basis but should I add any other resources to my list?

Cheers

The best/best value for money car I've ever seen come up was on www.911uk.com owned by one of the mods, you could also try carandclassic but DONT be in a hurry! It would be very easy to pick the wrong car.

p.s. I've just thought I know of a chap selling a 30k mile old X50 in silver with a few tasteful mods. No connection except I thought about saving some money and buying one with all the bits already done. Great car, perfect history but totally wrong colour for me and he wants strong money.

Hi Ben,

I've looked occassionally on 911uk.com but I'm not a great fan of the interface/options so don't tend to visit much but I will add it to my list.

My C4S was silver so I'm looking for something different this time round, Seal Grey / Atlas Grey / Maybe even Cobalt if the specs right.

Any other ideas ladies and gents? Anyone have something that fits the bill? Cash waiting - Good home lol!

As far as dealers go, how about 911Virgin or RSJ?

RSJ have a nice 2005 X50 at the moment: http://www.rsjsportscars.co.uk/used-porsche/porsche_911_996_turbo_36_x50_16.htm

Maybe give Peter Morgan a call, to see if he knows of anything. He gets to see a lot of cars and dealers, so might be able to point you in the right direction.

Almost entirely off topic but I saw a 996 c4s in rainforest green the other day. It looked so good I think I'd go so far as to say it looked better than black.. And I would only ever buy a 911 in black.

having owned a rainforest 996, I can vouch for the colour !
not 'in vogue' but really suits the 996 shape I think

oh and good luck with your search
how about trying Matt up @ Fearnsport - he gets to see a lot of these cars and know when they are going up for sale...
