997.2 80k miles. Future maintenance, and current value

Hey all, thinking of getting into a manual 997.2 Carrera S ownership. Car is on 80k Miles and looks like it has been very well looked after.

Car will be at an auction, just wondering what kind of price range I can expect it to go upto?

Also what’s the highest mileage 997.2 out there in the forum? If the car is maintained properly, could I potentially look at 150k+ before maybe an engine rebuild? And what costs can I expect (ignoring the usual servicing items) at that mileage.

My C4S 997.2 has 46k and a 3 year OPC warranty and has been valued around £55k

giing into storage for winter I’ll expect between £50-55k in spring to be honest

The car is immaculate and recently serviced and 111 point checked by the OPC so hopefully this gives you a marker

My recommendation would be to look at the prices of similar cars at the big Porsche Indys - for example Portiacraft have a few 997.2 for sale with lower mileage and they are around £38K. Auctions are a different story and you can check the sold prices on collectingcars, so worthwhile getting a feel for that. Does it have a reserve price?
Re potential mileage for the future check out forums like 911uk and Rennlist, and there are threads specifically about high mileage achieved by owners.
