Good luck with the sale Roy, the GTS is a cracking car. If I was in your shoes I would be taking the OPC bid rather than putting up with the hassle of a private sale for an extra £1.5K.

Great spec and surprised if this hasn't gone already. JZM had a similar miles car but without PCCBs and a few other bits up for nearly £70k recently!

Fantastic spec car. I'd be phoning JZM,Hexagon and RPM and seeing what they'll offer.

The last manual GTS RPM had sold very quickly and was advertised for £65k.

Amazed you haven't sold it already. Great spec car at a really good price with an OPC warranty.

Hi Guys, thanks for your comments and ideas. Here are a couple of photos of the car - it was professionally detailed last year with Gtechniq products but only had a quick home wash 2 days before these photo were taken. I purchased the car new on 1 March 2011 so if anyone wants to discuss the car then please call me on 07710 193916. The reg is now FE11 BYM. Cheers Roy Allum

JZM just sold a GTS with a considerably inferior spec but slightly lower miles in less than a week which was up for £68k. You really should give them a try!

Sounds like a nice car Roy, and I have been pondering a change to a GTS, does it have centre locks? I would need to sell my existing car though which isn't currently on the market, but a few people have previously lodged an interest in buying it. What sort of timescale are you working to, have you another car on order?
Cheers,
Danny

Hi Guys, thanks very much for your views, comments, interest and suggestions regarding my 997.2 GTS - I have just traded it in at my local OPC so it is no longer for sale by me.

Thanks again.

Cheers, Roy

Hi Roy,

Bit late to this thread. Shame. Which dealer has it gone to, I may look out for it? And do you know whether it is a simple job to reverse the rear-seat delete (and did the V5 show 2 or 4 seats?)?

Regards
Mike

Oh Roy you tease ! [:D]
Enjoy your new car!

Just traded my 996 turbo cab 2004 88k mls for a 997 GTS 2011 coupe 28k mls and I cannot believe how much better the carerra
is on the road plus it also makes a much better growl than the turbo did.i also find it difficult to understand that a manual GTS with 21k mls on it is going so cheap wish I had spotted it earlier but was it actually advertised on Piston Heads etc? That car will be worth 150k in 5 years time.

The thread's a bit old! But it was a cheap car !

Congrats on the new purchase and welcome to the club. I drove my manual 997 GTS coupe back to back with a manual 996 Turbo which belonged to a friend about a year ago....have to say I much preferred my car but I kept my opinions to myself.

Not sure a manual 997 GTS will be worth £150k in five years but I like your optimism!

The 997 GTS is a fairly rare car due to limited production time scales, not many people opted for the manual version but that fact ensures the car will be even rarer than PDK models and will be more sought after....maybe I was a little OTT with 150k but I am certain your old car will definitely appreciate in value if the next owner keeps the mileage down. The 997 Classic costs around 200k and is the same car with a few retro fittings and fixed rear ducktail spoiler.
What car did you end up purchasing? It's got to be good to beat the 997 GTS ha!
