997.2 iPhone 11 streaming via cable

Hi,

I've just bought a beautiful 2010 997 S and would like to connect my iPhone to the PCM and listen to my Spotify playlists on the road.
After reading through various posts, the best way seems to work via the Y cable + 30-pin to lightning adapter cable.
Unfortunately, Apple stopped producing this adapter cable and I can't seem to find any stock left for shipping within the UK.

Does anyone have this cable and no longer uses it and would like to sell it to me?
Also still need to buy the Y cable connecting to the iPod interface of the PCM (which ends in the 30-pin connector) so happy to buy that one from you too if you no longer need it.

Many thanks!

Matias

Congrats on your car.

You can use a genuine Apple 30 pin to lightning adaptor directly on the Y cable and plug this into your phone.

i have found that only the genuine Apple ones work. There are some on EBay.

Design 911 are listing the Y cable.

Brian,

Thanks for your kind reply, the car is fantastic. First thing I would like to do every morning is to turn the key and hear the sound of that good old flat-six, better than any song on the radio to start the day :).

Have bought the Y-cable and have been looking out for an original Apple 30-pin to lightning adapter or cable but don’t seem to find any other than some that don’t look like genuine Apple accessories or items that would be sent from China via Ebay...

If anyone on the forum still has one that works and no longer needs it, happy to buy it from you.

Many thanks

Matias

There are a plethora of genuine Apple lightning to 30 pin adaptors on eBay, or buy a cheap Chinese knockoff. There are no moving parts, so very little to go wrong. Worth the small gamble.

Hi guys,
Im a little confused, I have a 997.2 4S, 911design website doesn't seem to have a cable to work my Iphone 11 into the system, does anyone have a work through for this? I love hearing the engine sound, but after a 13hr shift at work, a late night drive home I would like to listen to my music on my phone as my commute is over the peak district with rubbish FM signal!

Does your car have the aux input module? Under the armrest, a usb, a headphone and a round 5 pin din socket.

if not then a Bluetooth module is the way forward as you wont be able to make a wired connection.

yes that’s what I have, but that cable I have supplied with the car only has a regular USB cable - my phone is the new lightning cable for an iPhone 11?
