997.2 PDK multi-function steering wheel for sale

Hi All
For sale, a multi-function steering wheel (no airbag) off my 997.2 59 plate PDK Carrera, I think the steering wheel will also fit PDK Cayman and Boxster's of the same age. Part Number 997.347.803.21 A34.
I swapped the wheel for a flappy paddle one, shortly after I got the car. The wheel is leather and as new; a similar wheel in Alcantara is retailing in Tequipment for a frankly ridiculous 'from' £1331.00. The wheel will however require coding to your car by Porsche OPC, which cost me £100 when I swapped to the flappy one.
Open to reasonable offers, please PM me.
John

Looks a great buy for someone looking to upgrade to multi function....

I have a 997.1 and wanted the multi function steering wheel. Mine came with the sports wheel that does not sort multi function. I purchased a multi function wheel from the eBay but was not so happy about the thinness of the standard wheel compared to the sports wheel.I eventually found this one and have ordered it......should be derived by end of March...

Your wheel can also fit the mk1 but good luck selling it, I think you will get between £400-600 for it without airbag.

The eBay wheel had 7 yrs use
the poster has one that's as new
hence the different price
I would think £500 would be fair

He says his wheel is off a 59 plate 997?

Definately looks in better condition than the eBay one but has still had up to 7 years of use. Maybe you are right but I'll go for paddles if multifunction is going to turn out 5-600 for a good wheel

Is this not the same as this?

Its going for half that price?

Am I missing something?

was debating upgrad mine to multifunction but if it was going to cost 600 for the wheel then I'll probably just go for a new paddle shift wheel and forget about multifunction

Yes you are....the one on eBay is well worn, this one is pristine condition.

You can buy for less on eBay and someone's get a bargain, I paid around £400 with air bag when I upgraded mine to the triangle wheel. I fitted it myself and coded.

I love it......but it's like one of those features when you don't have it you want it and when you got it, it's nice but not essential. I also added cruise control to mine..... Cruise control = 100% benefit. Multi function wheel = 80% benefit.

Now you've introduced cruise to the discussion......more money to spend!!

Yes that was the first upgrade I had done £400-500 I think and supplied and fitted at the local Porsche center.

Hi
Thank you for all your comments,
A bit of history may help, I actually changed the wheel very shortly after I brought the car back in 2009/10, and since then it has been sitting in our garage in the original flappy paddle wheel's box.
I can assure you the wheel is pristine. However, if for any reason any purchaser was unhappy, I would simply take it back.
I find cost and value is always subjective depending on whether you are the buyer or the seller, hence I am open to offers 'to a good home'

Should be an hours labour charge I think but just call them and check....otherwise I'm sure some one around here would offer to do it ;) foc.
