997.2 PDK service recorded?

Hello,
after a long time I’m back with a Porsche in my house?? Its a Carrera 4S with 66400 miles.
I am advised by the seller that it had the PDK service by Porsche Preston in 2021 and although there are service stamps in the book it doesn’t show PDK specifically. I’ve emailed Preston but they’ve not responded so far and the seller is sure it has as it was the ‘big’ 12 year one. So is there a way of knowing if this special service is completed like the brake fluid etc?
Thanks.

Welcome back ...

Does the seller still have the invoice - does the car have a Porsche Extended Warranty ?

Unfortunately no to both of those but will try the seller again just in case, it’s just annoying that Preston haven’t replied although I guess they will refer to data protection ??
incidentally can you purchase an extended warranty at this time since production?

Many thanks for the replies folks and the link re: extended warranty (??- Porsche ownership is all coming back to me ??)
I’ve emailed Porsche Preston again and hopefully I’ll get an answer but yes I will definitely phone them if it drags on. Interestingly the original owner before the dealer I bought it from was a PCGB member (as was I some years ago) and seems to have looked after it well and it does have all 6 service stamps, originally Porsche Colchester and one specialist. I’m located in Chester and had my 944 and boxster attended to by them some years ago so I’m thinking on either returning to them or possibly Ninemeister over in Warrington.

If you’ve been away for a while I think that you’ll be surprised by the cost of using official Porsche dealers … £££??

Definitely worth checking out the services provided by a reputable Porsche Independent.

Incidentally, your 997 is now classified as a Classic Porsche! This should give you some parts [and labour?] discounts at qualifying dealerships.

More latterly I’ve been an Audi owner but recently gravitated to a Tesla ( I know??) but still a Porsche lover at heart. Classic Porsche seems appropriate for me as I’m a tad long in the tooth nowadays although in my head I’m still 25?? I just need pensioner rates??

Well after a bit of emailing certain folks at Preston I had a great piece of information telling me that my car did have the PDK service back in 2021 In fact I received quite a detailed report so I can relax a bit now. It just remains for me to decide upon Porsche Chester or Ninemeister I guess. It’s just the minor service this time around as the one in 2021 was a bigee ! Is there a particular dealership who are honouring the classic 997 with reduced rates? Not holding my breath mind??
Thanks again for all your helpful comments.

If the 12 year have not been completed or there is no evidence:
Two choices:
1. Avoid
2.Buy with a discount of at least £3000, as this the cost of the 12 year. Additional risk of not knowing what is wrong.
The warranty is only available if only original parts have been used and the latest service completed.
IMO, i would avoid with no evidence or patent parts are used.

Hi Nasdacbull. Just to clarify that it did have the prescribed 12000 service at Preston Porsche and that info came from the top with an itemised and detailed record. It’s been a blast having it these past weeks and it’s now booked into Porsche Chester for its intermediate service in two weeks. I’ve also placed my name and car on the Classic program but aren’t holding my breath it will be finalised before I get the service bill?? Btw I’ve decided not to Persue the warranty so fingers and toes crossed for a happy future??
