997.2 PSE Tip removal

Hi Guys,

I have the PSE fitted to my C4S and I would like to tart the tips up a bit.

The PSE has a silver shroud over twin black pipes and it's the black pipes I would like to re-paint as they are looking tatty.

Can you advise me of the best way of removal please? (Just the tips not the system)

Hi, just had the same thing with mine. Obviously the silver sleeves easily come off once you undo the single hex bolt underneath. The tips however are a pain in the ass. Once the clamp is undone you can loosen them and the will twist and slide back and forth and I am told with a bit of patience and brute force they will part company with the main pipe. After an hour of sweating swearing and skinned knuckles I gave up. I masked the rear bumper and after rubbing them down with wire wool I sprayed them with a matt black stove enamel paint in situe. They look fine and because of the shape of the silver sleeves the only bit that is diffiicult to paint (the very top) is hidden entirely so not getting good paint coverage there isnt an issue.

I'm sure the more knowledgable members will be along soon to answer but I think the tailpipes have a torx head clamp which holds them on. Just got a new PSE fitted by local OPC but photos I took don't specifically show the clamp unfortunately
