Lovely colour Paul. Hope you and the car are keeping well.
Excellent photos, Paul and good to see you're still out and about in the 997. I still regard mine as being one of the best 911's I've owned.
One of the many favourite roads in your neck of the woods is the Old Military Road between Tomintoul and Speybridge. Did you manage to cover that by any chance? [

Hi Clive, good to hear from you hope all is well. Yes still putting the miles on the 997 at every opportunity. Now also running a 981 Boxster GTS alongside the 997 - great fun! The old military road is one of our favourites, we usually get as far as Tomintoul only to get tempted into the ice cream shop lol. Will do the Speybridge stretch next time for sure. Some cracking bends at Bridge of Brown if I remember correctly. Paul yup living in the central belt, the Trossachs and surrounding areas are my usual haunts.. Luvin the pics and thanks for the heads-up on the Deeside Porsche in the Park event, never known of it, though have attended Porsche in the Glen, at Calder Glen on the edge of East Kilbride and grabbed a few pics while there.
I know what you mean when you typed that you never tire of photographing your car, I suffer a similar attraction to the cars I have owned over the years.. (-: I came close to buying a 997 GTS but in the end I jumped at a 991.1 in my favourite colour, I have posted a pic or two of my 991 on the forum but could not locate the link...Duh..!

Porsche in the Park is a new event I've set up this year, a full day event with some extra activities thrown in. I posted details in R1 and R2 recently but here's the info on the event. You will be most welcome if you fancy a day out on Royal Deeside.

The first Porsche-only event in North Scotland for all Porsche owners.
Site open from 10am.
Midday Runs (limited spaces – first come, first served basis).
People’s Choice vote.
Karting Challenge (book and pay on the day (£15).
All day food.
Gin Distillery on site.
Dogs allowed.
Camping available (tel 01339 883 536).
Picturesque Royal Deeside location.
Venue hire contribution £10 per car, payable on arrival.
A ”not for profit” event with no club or charity affiliation.
**Just Porsche cars and Porsche people.**

Your 997 car is always well received ...remember the day at Knockhill when you won the best 4 wheel drive the look on those Scubby and Evo drivers faces .
I am sure your event will be a great success as is PITG ,remember the first year we got 65 cars and thought WOW ! never thinking 10ys later 225 attended .We need more shows in Scotland where we encompass all Porsche owners not just those in the two main ones and don't want to be in a club but happy to attend anything Porsche related.

Thank you Brian. Yes I remember that day well. We were the only Porsche in the line up and we won ha ha!
Thanks also for your words of encouragement. Your thoughts match mine exactly - a show for Porsche owners by Porsche owners and no club affiliations, that's the premise for Porsche in the Park.
