Hi Guys
Got my first track day coming up in a couple of weeks time in my newly aquired 997 C2S.
What's the general concencus on cold tyre pressures for track use, and oil level ?
Tracked a 986S & a 996 C2 before, but not the 997.
Tyres are 295 30 19 & 235 35 19 Pirelli Pzer rosso, if it makes any difference.
Thanks
David

General rule of thumb for pressures is to reduce back to normal settings when hot. You will find that the fronts increase in pressure quite a lot after a few laps. The outside edges of fronts will scrub a fair bit, which is why I have invested in a set of Corsa's for track days. Oil level set to one segment down on gauge, definately don't over fill!

In my experience you need to check the preesures after each session untill the pressure settles. I have dropped pressure 5 lb and come off track 10 lb up in the summer. Edges will scrub off badly if overinflated. The tyre guys in attendence are helpful.
