I would normally replace like for like, to original spec, so would be interested in any info.

When new, the Michelins did seem quite noisy, although maybe not as noisy as Bridgestones if other reports are to be believed. Over time, now that they have worn in a bit, they do seem a lot quieter, although I'm sure this is partly me adjusting to the car.
Given the different characteristics of the different tyres in terms of wet / dry grip, wear rate, breakaway characteristics etc, it still amazes me that you can't choose which cars they put on your car (but you can choose what colour to have the stiching on the centre console storage compartment........). Seems that Porsche has its priorities wrong somewhere.

Porsche work a non stock-pile system with supplies being delivered almost daily to the factory for that day's production run. Whichever manufacturer's tyres are fitted therefore depends upon what has been delivered at the time of the build.ORIGINAL: sidicks
