hiya all,bca auction coming up featuring a 2005 997 carrera 2s, with 83,000miles [warrented] in silver with sunroof, sat nav, quad exhaust, parking sensors, x2 owners, not much more info, what sort of money is this car worth?, assuming a big service would be needed, thanks and regards jason p

It is difficult to put a value on the car without knowing the condition and about the service history etc but I would expect it to sell for about £23k through a dealer and a bit less privately.

remember to factor in BCA's fees. They will tell you what they are if you ring them. I would have thought you wouldnt want to be paying more than 20k as a hammer price, assuming the car has a FPSH to date.

Is it a private entry or a company fleet vehicle? At that age, more likely a private entry. Only 2 reasons why a privateer would put a car like that in the auction. Either they are desperate for the money and need a quick sale and there's a chance the car is straight. Or, the car isn't as good as it looks and by selling it sold as seen, without a test drive, can hide some of those problems.

I could be wrong of course but as one Porsche enthusiast to another i'd rather share my views than not. Good luck
