Read some time ago (and again in todays Autocar) that the 997 will be available with a six speed DSG gearbox as per the Audi. Does anyone know if this factual and when it will be available?
Thanks GPM

It is certainly coming, but not for a while. Did I read something in 911&PW that there is no new tiptronic box, as it will be dropped in favour of the DSG?

which is probably about right....

in the world of semi-auto fast gear changes.. the old audi sourced tiptronic unit is far too slow to compete with those fro rival super car manufacturers..

DSG is great.. very quick for an auto.......... and a must for any non-manual super car [:D]

AS LONG AS THE SOFTWARE WORKS ! <<<<< so what about for a new line of topics "DSG failure.. DSG needs replacing.. DSG stuck !" []
