997 exterior door handle

Hi all,

i have a porsche 997.2 and very annoyingly my exterior door handle no longer opens the door. the car locks Fine but when I try and open the door the window moves like normal but the catch on the door doesn’t. THe interior handle works fine so I am assuming something in the exterior door handle has broken

has anyone else had a similar experience so can give me a view on costs to repair and general advice
