Dear all, I have just seen a 997 C2, manual for sale in a dealer (non specialist) for £20,995.

It is a Basalt black 54 plate with 55k miles. It has grey leather, pcm/sat nav, psm, cruise, rear parking sensors, fsh, heated seats, alcantara roof lining, 19 inch wheels and steel brakes.

It looks lovely. How does this price sound? It seems cheap to me. I did not realise how much 997's were now making, as they are now in my price range and got to be a better car than an old 964 or 3.2.

What do you think. The garage is Pete Smith at Coleford, Gloucestershire.

With the worries of cylinder scoring on cars just about that age and mileage, I'd personally want to buy via an OPC and be in warranty...
Does sound a good deal for the money though.. and hell of a lot of car for not a lot..[:)]

It seems very cheap to me even for an early model. As Gary says, I'd personally want to be buying from an OPC for some piece of mind. I'd have it inspected before making a potential purchase.

Thanks for the advice.

I had a look at the OPC's and there is a very similar one at Sutton coldfield for £27,995 inc 2 years of warranty. Worth thinking about.

Regards,

Mike W.

The warranty cost is £1000 per year, so factoring that into the cost should help you.

or the 960 [;)]

"..the 960 is said to be a Ferrari-fighting "four-door coupe" powered by a twin-turbo flat-six. We'll wait for clarification on the number of doors, since in September of last year, Kacher's scoop for Car posited the 960 as a mid-engined coupe priced "on the creepy side of €200,000."
