997 Front bumper to Bonnet Lid Fit

Whats the fit like at the gap between front bumper and bonnet on your 997. From new the leading edge of my bonnet dipped below the finish height of the bumper on the nearside, but now some 12 months on, the offside is the same. Am I gradually bending the bonnet with my hands as I push it closed. I'm going to take this up with my opc, but does anyone have the same problem.

Faz,

It sounds like the length of the rubber stoppers on the underside of your bonnet need adjusting slightly to bring your bonnet level to the inside edge of your bumper. My OPC made this simple adjustment when my car was in for some warranty work.

Cheers Jon

I do generally push closed around the badge area but sometimes at the outer front edges, but thanks for the tip.

Thanks Jon, I'll have a look at that, although the leading edge does seem to curve down either side of the badge returning so that it's in line with the bumper at either corner.

The leading edge of the bonnet should be very slightly below the level of the front valance; apparently this stops wind noise and water ingress. So don't adjust the rubber stops too high!
