997 Gen 1 Remap?

Okellyt on this forum has a lot of experience with this modification.

Tom may respond here shortly. If not pm him. I'm sure he'd be very happy to advise you.

Regards,

Clive.

a bit like how long is a piece of string.........

Normally aspirated remaps are normally less about a top end power figure but driveability and how responsive the throttle is to your inputs.

Revo and DMS accelerate the throttle map and optimise for (97 RON more torque and power as a result but also smoother power transition.

Circa £600 -ish (=/- £100) they are cheap and reversible with a try before you buy 5 hour option.

it does invalidate any warranty unless you get explicit agreement from warranty provider. Fully reversible and updateable. S

Nest is more bespoke -n live remap on rolling road, removes flat spots, more noticeable improvement in drive and urge. remap and rolling road circa £1k but absolutely worth it for improved on road drive abiliuty.

Beyond that - your into engine breathing, exhaust, suspension and brakes etc.

Hope that helps

Thanks for that, will now go and look at the options. It's 2007 model and maybe i am now getting used to the car, but when i first drove it swear it was quicker :)

Not that bothered about top end as they are pretty quick but would like a bit more accelation.

Ooooooh yes it's well worth it - had my gen 1 turbo remapped by Rob @ DMS last summer , they also fitted a stainless exhaust . The day after I headed off to the Ring and Spa and the car has proved faultless since the work was carried out . Gives the car a bit more ' zing ' to say the least !!

Just a remap on the turbo can make a big difference. Minimal improvement on the NA cars in my experience without upgrading many other components - as Tom will testify.
