997 Gen 2 C2S Real Spoiler deployment

Hi Guys,
Just interested to know about the correct operation of the 997 spoiler, when you manually deploy the rear spoiler the light remains on and you can confirm operation, however as you know you cannot see if the rear spoiler is deployed when driving so I just wanted to know if you should also see the light on when you reach 75 mph and if it should remain on until 35 mpg ?

Pete

I recall the light only comes on when you manually select the spoiler. If you ever achieve 35mpg you are doing very well......[:)]

I'm laughing at the 35mpg - i can only dream... :ROFLMAO:

Yes, the light is only the manual indication its up - bit of a problem if its on automatic, the Police pull you over and they know what speed it lifts at... not that such a thing could ever happen.
I can see the spoiler is up (just) by stretching up and looking in the rearview mirror.

Thanks guys, I thought it was operating as it should as my old 987 Gen 2 Cayman S did the same, I like the comment about 35 mph but I was just quoting what the manual states.
thanks again
