Have had two potential punctures in last three years.Luckily spotted the nails in tyres ( avoid B&Q car parks in future) and managed to get to garage for repairs/replacement before deflation. In future I would like to carry a space saver rather than rely on temporary foams. Read somewhere that the old 996 space saver would fit the 997 . Easy to get s/hand so wondering if anyone can confirm this or has used one on a 997 gen 2 . Not bothered about its storage , it would fit in front boot or behind seats in nessessary. Thanks in advance. Ian

In 2006 I took my then new 997 to Germany and bought the following spare kit from the German OPC in Osnabruck, saving, I think, over £300 on the UK OPC price. Don't forget you will also need a good torque wrench and ideally a tube of the recommended grease for the wheel bolts - few disposable gloves would also be a good idea.
