997 GT3 Cup at Reading

Hi all,

I know it is a 997 but hey it is a fantastic looking car, if you near Reading it is parked in the OPC showroom with free un-barriered access. Nice!

On a negative note, Reading OPC no longer givea discount to Porsche Club members. Shame as I got 10% at Guildford at the weekend by showing my card. Just couldn't buy the girlfriend pressie while she was there so Reading it had to be.

The Reading OPC is part of a larger group, which incorporates 2 or 3 other OPC's. I assume therefore that this new interpretation of "mutual cooperation" between the club, Porsche GB and the OPC's is now NOT for the benifit of the club? If the discount is to remain at other OPC's then we know how to deal with it and vote with our feet.

Reading, Guildford, and West London OPC's all used to be part of the AFN group. I was under the impression that they had been bought by Porsche Cars GB, so it is strange that you can get 10% at Guildford, but not Reading. What's Reading's excuse for this anyway?

I think you are wrong buddy,

Reading DO give 10 percent off for PCGB members. I know that because they've just knocked off £67 from my bill for a new radiator after i showed them my card. Speak to Darren in Service reception. Some items however do not apply ie new cars[]

There was one in OPC Wilmslow yesterday. Not liveried up like the one at Hatfield. Had obviously been used as it had a cracked windscreen[&:]
