Well. Much as my ultimate GT3 is a 'regular' 997 GT3 Gen 1 - in white please, if anyone's offering! ;-) - I've always preferred the look of the Gen 2 RS as there's just something about it, even though the Gen 1 cars had more in your face colours.
Prices for Gen 2 cars have been getting silly for a while now as aside from the RS4.0 which was strictly limited in numbers, it's the 'last hurrah' for the Mezger engine design and as there were more produced, there's more choice. I think the prices have some way to go, but when you've got muppets paying upwards of £300k for an RS4.0 it won't be long before it gets really daft.
