Morning All
First off very happy new year to you..
Hope I am not alone here but my 997 Turbo has develped some really annoying interior rattles..they seem to come from centre console, chrono clock and in and around glovebox/cup holder rattles are magnified on bad roads and only the smoothest roads they appaer to subside...Has anyone else here had these issues they are only small but becomeing a real pain. Taking car to local OPC on weekend just wanted to know if there are any 'pointers' or usual faults..I am apparently going out with a technicien but no doubt it will be very quiet then!!

By the way on my previous post about starting problems the very helpful chaps at Design 911 cleaned all the connections ground strap etc of swarf, solenoids checked and car is starting perfect....no new starter motor needed at this stage..

Cheers all

Ben

The passenger seat, seat belt mechanism, loose cd's in the glove box, jewellery in the centre console are all common sources for rattles. [:D]

If you have one of those metal licence holders, such as sold in the Club shop, these are a nightmare for rattling. I use a foam pad sandwiched under the lid, which seems to quieten it down.

Rattles are quite often deceptively remote from their source and this can be very frustrating. Make sure you've nothing loose in the luggage compartment too! [8|]

Regards,

Clive.

Hi Ben

I also get an intermittent rattle from the Sports Chrone clock area - albeit not very often.
