Hi to everyone.

What is the best chip or remap for a porsche 997 carrrera s.

revo or GIAC?

please can somebody help me with this.

Also whats the difference in having it live mapped.

DMS [:D]

Ok just throwing another for fun, but don't discount them because they are also a big player in that market. But, don't expect much from a n/a engine because gains are much harder to come by.

With the normally aspirated engines (no turbo) you don't get that much from a chip - for all three its about 20-25 Bhp and maybe half that in extra torque

If you want much more you have to start changing whole bits of your engine

Having said that they all claim to give you the power through the range and give you more in gear punch, nice for over taking or dropping pesky hot hatches trying to weld themselfves to your back bumper.

The chip will keep you in touch with the faclifted models power

Or you could go the powerkit option, then add a DMS chip and have about 405bhp :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:. with the car's shorter gearing, this would be the perfect on road GT3 baiter (you'll still get wasted by a GT3 on a track though)

Go for a Europipe exhaust which uses X51 headers and you'll get 16-20bhp with more torque from that. Then remap from Simtis/Revo/DMS for another 15 bhp cautiously. You should then have 390bhp conservatively for a lot less than the powerkit option but a car that shouldn't be too far off a powerkit car or a facelifted car. Maybe even as quick.

thanks guys,

i have made my mind up im gonna go with revo, they can set the car up on the dyno and i can have switchable
maps according to revo.

maybe later on a supersprint exhaust and headers.

Revo let you trial their software for a few hours before you buy too.

Win win situation.

Same here - I am keen to know how the chip goes?

My car is still loosening up at 9k miles and getting faster, once it has proprely losened up (soon) I'll be looking for a chip to hitt he magic 400bhp+ in a usable fashion:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
