997 roof operation whilst moving

Hi folks,

I tried to lower and raise my roof today whilst moving, something I thought the 997 had as standard however it failed to do the one touch lowering, is there a trick to it that I am missing, or is my car faulty? I tried one touch and then holding for a few seconds, but the only way I could get it to work was by holding through the entire thing.

I'm not sure where you got the one touch from?
But I've always had to pull the button for the entire operation!
So from my point of view this is normal, but I'd be interested to hear otherwise.

Best regards Russell

As far as I'm aware, having to hold the button is as standard...
The smartop (non Porsche item) was the way to get the one touch operation.

As far as I can make out the sunroof is a stand-alone unit so functionality can not be altered "" hence it can't be configured to close from the remote, for example. I think this sort of functionality exists on other cars, e.g. BMW "" maybe the 991 sunroof has such advances ?

Ok so i can lower and raise it on the move but I need to hold the button. OK makes sense I suppose, I had an aftermarket OneTouch on my Boxster so that's why I thought I could do it as someone said it was standard on the 997.
