997 RS 4.0 test drive

A 997 post rather than a special RS one really as I have just put my name down for the chance to drive the RS 3.8, GT2RS and RS 4.0 next year at Silverstone, I know the track is a bit limiting but the chance to drive all three in one session has got to be quite rare, any one else here signed up yet?

Having done the "GT Course" this year, I was really, really tempted by this also. But I fear that if I got behind the wheel of a GT2 RS or GT3 RS 4.0....it would only end with my bankruptcy (as I would be forced to try and own one at some stage) [:D]

I think £550 to drive these 3 is a bargain....unfortunately I wasn't able to convice SWMBO of this fact [:(]

That's exactly what I do with Tanya
I shall be doing this drive in the new year
Looking forward to it[:D]

You got away with it lightly mate as normally the cost ratio is 2-3 to 1 in their favour.......[8D]

In the month I swapped into a GTS I paid for my wife and daughter to have a girly week in Spain. No grumbles at all.

Son and I will take the Porsche to Scottish Highlands in the same week.

Bet we have as good a time as they do.

Would love to do this - but on the Silverstone GP circuit instead! I don't honestly think you'd see anything between these cars on the little handling circuit.

Good point Spyderman. I've thought about doing this as well but if it's on the handling circuit I dont think I could get much out of those cars on there. I don't think i'd be able to give the instructor the confidence to let me really go for it on there either (I know my limitations). It'd need to be a more open track.

Some good points but where else can you drive all these cars or even the 4.0 rs ....let me know if you do

Thanks Alan, I was half way through the article []. Still, bit like watching Jenson win after you heard the result on the news.

Depends whether I fall asleep reading it tonight...

Have to say I'm a bit surprised that a P car wins yet again.

Possibly because Clarkson has nothing to do with EVO.
If yesterday was anything to go by taking it around the EVO triangle could be fun !

I decided to book on for the 27th march in the morning, hope to see some members there, most of the slots seem to have gone in a week.

My SWMBO said we just HAD to do this, who am I to argue! Got a morning and afternoon session so we can each have a go. Never mind Xmas, how many days to go til March? Can't wait.
