Start the New Year with a Bang ![/b]
On the Sunseeker tour last summer, I asked the members what kind of events they'd like to attend. Top of the list was Shooting ! Given a distinct lack of vehicle-mounted weapons available from club shop, we've decided to start in a more traditional way, our first trip of the New Year will be a clay-pigeon shoot. One of our register is a member of an exclusive club near Maidenhead and has organized a fantastic mornings shoot for us. Suitable for beginners as well as experienced marksmen, we've a 2/3 hour shoot followed by a challenging drive and rewarded with a warm pub lunch. The package includes practice and tuition followed by a sporting competition, gun hire, hearing protection, baseball cap, bacon rolls and Danish pastries on arrival and tea and coffee throughout the day, public liability insurance and cartridges and clays.

The date is 2nd February and places are limited, so please call me on 07811 406 203 or preferably e-mail 997@porscheclubgb.com to reserve your place now. A small deposit will be required. Price is expected to be in the region of £100.

I note that places are limited, is this invitation open to 997 owners only for now or would you allow a 996 in?

Shooting Update !

Another 997 register exclusive here. Not only will be enjoying a shoot at one of the UK's most prestiguous venues, but we've also secured a tour of the nearby gun-smiths for our group, where I'm reliably informed some of the World's most exclusive shooters are hand-crafted for discerning clients. Indeed, these pieces are over 44k, yes that's Boxster S money for a gun, so we shall be having a fairly exclusive experience.

Location is M40 j4/5 on Friday 2nd February, likely 9am start.

I have just 4 places left now, this is open to all PCGB members but priority given to 997 owners as it's a register event.
Thanks

Rob

Not for me, sorry, just noticed it is on a Friday - I need to conserve my holiday leave.

Hi Rob

Got your message, thanks for organising such a great day for the members, what time do you need us at West Wycombe? Is it 0930ish for 10 am start? I'll bring my gun licence and insurance with me.

Cheers

Lou[:D]

Hi Lou, it's going to be something like that, not finalised yet. There's a lot to cram-in, and most will want to be away by 2:30 to miss the worst of the traffic home. I'll send an e-mail to all those going at the end of the week with all directions and details.

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob

Thanks to you and Dave for organising such a fab day at West Wycomb. Fred (our instructor) wants me back for lessons with the 20 bore, so I'll have to try this out...........I might have a chance of giving Dave a run for his money next time!

Cheers
Lou
