997 Trip to the Isle of Man

i'm planning to go on the Total 911 Magazine Tour abit later in the year[8D] as I wasn't aware the 997 register was planning a trip, or are you meaning the usual PCGB/Jeff Ives trip?

If you're taking about the club trip (in association with Porscheshop!) on the 14th-17th May then yes, we have![8D]

Edit - GeoffL and jbm going too!

Hi Tom

Have already booked on the Manx tour along with Paul & collette, had our booking confirmations through. Would be great if you could come. I also now of a couple of others from the club going also

Regards

Steve

I will go as usual. This will be my 11th visit with the Club! [:D] It will be very interesting to see just how PDK operates around the mountain part of the TT.

This is what I have taken on previous Club trips:

Boxster 2.5
Boxster 3.2
996 Targa
997 Gen 1
Cayman S
Morgan Plus 4 (terrible, totally out of control above 70 mph)
Mini Cooper (no good at high speed)
997 Gen 2 C4S Targa.

Incidently, the highest top speed achieved was in my Boxster 2.5! Explain that! [:D]

I am guessing the roads weren't as busy and you got good weather........

If that was the first trip, didn't they close the mountain for your guys.

In response to the other questions, yes its the Porscheshop sponsored club trip in May and were booked on it.

Sadly I can't make it this year, which is a shame as I was looking at adding a bit of extra time and a route up through Wales the day prior...[:)]
Its a great trip and one I think it good value for money...

However I hope the French Alps will suffice... [;)]

First time they did close the mountain section for us, but it was in thick fog! [:(]
