997 TT wheels

I've had my turbo for just over a year now and have, despite being ultra careful, scuffed a couple of the wheels. I have been told that a scuff on a turbo wheel - no matter how minor - is likely to be non repairable given the shiny edge. Has anyone managed to get theirs repaired - or is the only solution a new wheel (which I think are around 1k).
If the latter then I suppose it may well be a case of living with the scuffs or having the wheels painted. Any thoughts?

I am led to understand that is the case... new Rim [:(]
Diamond cut faces, however an option would be to have them filled and then painted..

Thats another one of the reasons that I'm impressed with my Bridgestone tyres, a reasonable rim protector on it.. [;)]

I have seen single Turbo wheels up on fleabay, but not doubt they will have been scruffed in the first place...!

Just get some new ones!

Or I have a full set of (new) original wheels with no tyres on sitting in my garage. Changed mine to HRE wheels the first day I got my car! Unsure what price I would ever part with them for though as I quite like having the option to put the car back to stock one day if I desire to sell.

Hopefully a long way off for you Alex, but bare it in mind that to get a full trade in at the OPC the standard parts should be fitted..
If there not then I'm not exactly sure how it works other than to say "it won't be cheap"

Speak with Chris Massey, 07939081180. He does wheels for Kahn as well as special stuff for Tech 9.
He has diamond cutters and is a complete genius! If he can't do it, it can't be done!

Mention my name. He's based in Saltney, Chester.

PS. Don't be shocked by the price! He has no clue what he's really worth!!
Good luck

No you haven't missed anything yet! I haven't had chance to formally put my 996 up for sale either. No comments or pics just yet. Just been busy. Had to cancel skiing trip to Canada as big C diagnosed with close family member!
So too much work makes a dull boy! I think I have only driven it a few times and I have had it a month. Will post something soon.
