Hi guys

Anyone want to hazard a guess at what the MY08 Turbo Coupe will be updated with come Aug/Sept?

[*]Updated PTM?
[*]Updated PASM?
[*]Sports Exhaust Option?
[*]X50 Powerkit option?
[*]LED rear lights?
[*]Facelift front spoiler to give less nose lift?
[*]More wheel options?
[*]A fix for the bad phone module microphone quality?
[*]New PCM version?
[*]A larger price tag?!!!

Also does anyone have an predictions whether the Turbo S will be a 3.8L engine, or a 3.6L engine with larger Turbo chargers (ie. probably more lag despite VTG), or just the current 3.6L engine with a powerkit like the Carrera S (ie. better airflow and ECU tweak)??

Cheers

I can't see the TT receiving any significant changes for a while. It's only been out for a matter of months and they've only just launched the TT Cab.

I agree that it probably won't get too many or perhaps no changes as Porsche's focus is elsewhere (VW takeover, GT2 and TT Cab release) but the Turbo has been out since MY06...

Yes, I doubt any cosmetics will creap in, they are more just wishful thinking. I doubt any cosmetic changes will happen until the 998 Turbo comes out.

I would guess it would be more things that you can't see though, like tweaks to the PTM and PASM to make the car more stable at high speeds.

OPC told me that the 997 will follow the same development schedule as the 996 - Turbo S coming in the last year of the 997 production run so not before 2009. I would imagine 08 MY will receive the same updates as standard 997 MY upgrades with the new lights, DFI not expected until 09 MY. This year is about the Cabrio and GT2.
