997 turbo coupling splitting

hi anyone know of an after market coupling doughnut thingy on the end of the propshaft from the rear gearbox to the front ..... mine has split around the six bolt holes. the replacment part from the main dealer is over £300 as it comes with the prop shaft assy. the car is a turbo 2006 56 with only 28k on the clock. cheers
 
Not sure what "thingy" you are referring to, but if it's the prop universal joint, you may be able to buy a replacement from a good motor factor but you may need to remove it first to provide a pattern. Otherwise, try Bert Gear on e mail bert@berlyn-services.co.uk or

there is a propshaft that links the front and rear gear boxes together, on one end of the prop there is a rubber ring with six bolt holes in it a kind of cush drive this bolts to the output flange on the front of the rear gear box .does that help?
