997

Hi
I'm thinking about upgrading to 2006 997 4C and was wondering what value in £ the sport chrono adds to a 997.

Relatively little, in my view. I am not a huge fan of the clock and otherwise on the manual car it just sharpens the throttle response ( ie you can achieve the same effect by pushing harder!). Slightly different for the tip I believe, and for the turbo but I wouldn't pay extra for a car with it. There are other more desirable options, eg PSE. Good luck with the search.

ORIGINAL: williaa68 and for the turbo but I wouldn't pay extra for a car with it.
I wouldn't even buy a Turbo without it.... As a used car I don't think sports chrono is worth any more than a car without, however it does make it a bit more desirable, thus slightly more resalable garyw

If youve had sports chrono and used it regularly it transforms the character od the Carerra S not only is the throttle repsonse sharper but it backs off the traction cotnrol slightly so you can be more playful. It really does change how easilly adkjustable the car is as you can play with much finer inputs. As per Gary's comements, no additional cost to buy but very desirable. Get it and have a remap, it makes for a far sharper car and much more rewarding drive.
