997S respect due.

Hi guys,
In an attempt to stop me moving away from Pork, my local dealer very kindly lent me a 997S whilst my 996TT went in for service. I had a previous test drive & to be honest wasn't that impressed. Having had a longer period with the car I have to say respect is due.
Whilst it isn't as adrenalin pumping quick as the Turbo, it is certainly plenty fast enough to be fun, providing you are above 5k revs it certainly does fly. The PASM system is great, much better ride quality than the Turbo, body control isn't as tight on standard settings, but it is still very good, much better than a standard 996 C2, with little roll or pitch. I liked the choice of ride settings, combine the stadard PASM with the new less jiggly steering & it is certainly more relaxing to drive. The driving position is also FAR better than the 996, because of the new rake adjustment. the interior quality was also better, although I prefer the purer 996 look, all those fiddly silver plastic buttons around the screen don't do it for me!
I'm not sure it has persuaded me to move out of the Turbo, into a 997S (can't get a 997GT3 for a year, but want a change, AMV8 here we come....maybe!?), but it is a fabulous car all you lucky owners have good taste, enjoy.

Thanks for the input Michael, my head is saying either keep mine & wait for a 997GT3 or have a 997S for a change, but my heart is saying try an Aston it looks stunning! I have to say the DB9 is a bit too pipe & slippers for me, having driven one it is no where as sporting/involving as the AMV8, I must have my drvers fix, so the DB9 is not for me, but stunning looking car as well .
