997tt OPC service time ......

The time has come to service my '06 997 turbo - what's the best way to drive the cost down when using an OPC. Does anyone have a good point of contact within the Central Scottish OPC network that they could recommend ? ......Im trying to reduce the financial pain so any advice is appreciated !

I'd suggest taking it to Edinburgh, I always get great service there. Scott Fraser and Derek Hill are the two Service Advisors there, both are excellent chaps.

You could try pleading poverty (but showing up in a turbo isn't a convincing start [] )

I must say that Scott Fraser and his team at Edinburg PC looked after me very well when I needed an emergency new tyre over a bank holiday weekend on our Scottish Tour recently. I found them very helpful, although my experience there was very brief.

Request a quotation for the service before booking it in and speak to your service manager about any savings you could make, such as supplying your own oil.

A PC service record perhaps becomes less important as time goes by and the vehicle becomes older, but it does instil confidence in any potential future buyer for your car .

If it has to be OPC then your only choice is Edinburgh. Glasgow would likely refuse to quote on "Health and Safety" grounds.

In Scotland however, I would think a Motortune stamp is well respected and top of the "independents" bunch....

I had my first service at Aberdeen OPC and it was all done very professionally and in good time and kept upto date on progress so no complaints
602 pounds with PC discount and I never supplied anything.
