A/C Question

Hi,

What is the best way to run your A/C?

1. Run on normal all the time?
2. Run on Full once a month as per handbook then turn off?

The reason I ask is that we do have climate control although very crude[] so surely it is best to run the A/C in normal mode all year round rather than a blast once a month on full, modern cars run there A/C all year round now don't they.

Advice or thoughts pls[:)]

I keep mine on all of the time except on a long journey. I do the same on my BMW and the AC has performed faultlessly and not needed regassing in over four years.

Likewise- mine is always on in my 993 and my daily driver, and there is no noticeable difference to fuel econ or power. Stops the car misting up too...

I run mine all the time. Cool in summer, mist-free in winter. Maurice: reasonable point about compressor life, but you could apply it to engine and brakes too... [:D]
