A car to drive every day

Good evening all,

I have been a Porsche fanatic for many years now always owning a car of some description as a hobby and weekend toy. Today however I have just fulfilled a dream, purchased a brand new car for everyday use. I have purchased a new boxter 2.9 in Meteor Gray from PC Leicester.

I also own a 1989 911 Speedster - which is amazing - however for me having a car to drive every day will be fantastic. I look hard at what to buy, but having never had a boxter, and truly loved the 944 cab I used to own, the boxter won. I started looking at an SE at Leicester but better deal at the end of the day was on a new one. Very impressed with PC Leicester so will be traveling down there on Friday night, 365 miles from Angus in Scotland, to collect it. Also looking forward to the whole PC experience. Having owned several Porsches in the past never actually bought from a PC.

So any do's and dont's tips for a new boxter welcome. Also keen to hear what people say about the protctive film treatment. Might get this done ASAP on the front of the car.

Hopefuly meet some of you at some events this year.

Best regards....Frazer

Any tips? Enjoy it!

It's a nice feeling to drive a new car away from the showroom. The car will probably be under a cover ready for the "reveal" to you.

I received a couple of goodies when I collected mine, including the silverstone driving experience which I'm finally doing this Thursday.

Personally, I'm yet to be convinced by the paint protection film but some appreciate it. Mine has picked up a couple of stone chips in the last year though. There's no hard rules for running in, the manual basically suggests not tracking it for 2000km.

Forum rules dictate photos following collection. Have fun.
