A cheeky thread...

Just a little thread to all those who have a 993 and are thinking about trading it in to a dealer to get something else...

I'm looking for a 993 myself and haven't had any joy at all (probably because of an unrealisticly tight budget of under £20k). Anyway, I just thought I'd put this note (plea [:(]) out to anyone who is selling and getting a low offer from a dealer and would like to let someone else have it (a loving home I promise you) rather than let the dealer make a huge profit on it.

Anyway, I'm not really fussy, a C2/4, black/slate/aventura coupe (or targa but I know that's pushing it) with reasonable mileage and a decent spec (doesn't have to be loaded but sports seats would be nice)...

If anyone knows of one going, please let me know...

Thank you and I hope this thread doesn't offend anyone [:)]

911 (993 model) C2 tiptronic. 1994 M-registration. A 993 for 964 money. Recent sales have filled up the workshops so who fancies a project ? No stories & HPI clear, UK right hand drive from new. Limited service history (original service book to 21k miles in `99), our chap has owned the car since 2001 and hasn`t kept records of his services. Brake discs lipped, odd marks round the car but nothing terrible, o/s check strap broken, rear wheels kerbed. Extended leather interior (very expensive), fitted air-con that appears to work, loads of options including sunroof, sports seats, etc. For sale exactly as it stands sold as seen. Mot 31-03-06 Millennium bug trade price £19,995

I agree, and the history doesn't make it any more appealing!! Still, it shows that sub-£20k cars are out there. Would you consider LHD? Would certainly open up your options (spoken like a 993 expert; I've never even SAT in one!!).

hahaha....yeah I guess LHD would be alright, but I would definitely prefer a RHD car

I saw a C4S LHD for £20k...needed a lot of work done (rear shocks, a bit of a ding in one arch, discs and pads etc) But it was quite nice! 1 owner from new and something like 80k miles on the clock

I think you are really going to struggle plus the fact at that price a car is going to need money spending which means your going to end up spending over 20K anyway.

There is a RHD manual with 132,000 miles in Silver advertised in PP this month at 22,000 which is about the closest I can see.

Good luck with your search.

Ian.
