A cynical 50 point 944 safety check

I always wonder exactly what various "100 point safety check"s really include... It occurred to me a while ago just how many bulbs there are on a 944 - I got up to fifty... well, 49 actually - I deliberately missed one out for you all to try and think of.*

No, I'm not seriously suggesting some of these aren't important, or that some of them are important... just a bit of fun really... although I may just use it to check all are working on my cars (including No. 50, which I know works on at least one of them)

50 - Yes there is one![:D]

I really must get out more...

* OK... At the time I could only think of 49, I have just thought of another one... and then, I dare say, someone will think of No. 51, 52, 53...

Just to complete it:

50 Under bonnet light
51 Air conditioning - position
52 Air conditioning - on
53 Main "Warning" light
54 Brake fluid low level
55 ABS warning
56 Low brake pads
57 Sidelights
58 Main beam
59 Low fuel
60 Low oil pressure
61 The early dash cars had a "Change up now" light...

And further...

62 Front fog light switch - position
63 Rear fog light switch - position
64 Rear Numberplate light - left
65 Rear Numberplate light - right
66 Indicator/Hazard warning repeater
67 Seatbelt warning
68 High water temperature warning
69 Fuse test light

Well done that man!

Then I realised I had worked through my S2... so hadn't accounted for early dash cars (three extra gauges, but probably some other stuff missing), airconditioning, both position, and "on" lamp, and then of course... all the warning lights... fuel low-level, handbrake, brake fluid, oil, ignition...

I have added others I have now thought of... but... is there an ignition light as such? On early dash cars yes, but on late dash cars? Also is there a high temperature warning light or not? (Come on, who has overheated?!)

25 isn't a lamp, it's a function.

(None of the rest of them are bulbs either, they are all lamps! Bulbs are things you grow daffodils from .... ) [;)]

Oli.

OK... that takes us to 69...

Prize for pedantry to Oli (so far[;)])... I knew someone was going to say it was a bulb, or lamp, or some of them are LEDs, but the spirit is very much appreciated, and I can never remember which is which... Correct also on the Hazard lights being a function... but I'm not going to change it - it would leave a nasty gap[:D]

Yes John, indicator repeater was flashing "You missed me, you missed me!" on the way home last night, as was the seatbelt light (well, not flashing, and only on briefly), but ashtray, sorry No. 49 already there[:)] You have corrected me on the use of the alarm/central locking button thingy though...

Frenchy, Doh! I thought of those, and then forgot all about them when writing the list.

OK, Now all updated...

Now thinking of writing a book... sixty-nine things to do in the dark![:D]

There'll be some lights on the radio as well ... although you may consider them to be 'out of scope' for the sake of this exercise! [;)]

Oli.

Oh yes, well done that man! Now the question is, how many keys incorporating a light were supplied with the car? One? Two? Or was it just one and the really cut-down one?
