A driveway full of coolant !!!!

Got home last night and could hear a ' gushing ' of fluid from under the bonnet. Looks like the radiator has finally given up the ghost and exploded!!!!!! Has anyone replaced a radiator themselves? If so, how difficult a job is it and where is the best/cheapest place to purchase a replacement?

Replacing the rad is fiddly and a little awkward but definitely a DIY job, its probably worth replacing the hoses at the same time.
 
There's alot of places that will still do re-cores. Usually on a two day turnaround. Mightbe cheaper than a new one, ans last longer than a second hand one!
