A few parts for my project

Hi,

I'm after a few parts to get my project 924 up and running - it's a 1985 2.0 NA model.

Does anyone have any of the following: -

- Drivers seat with brown pinstripe trim
- Drivers side door card with brown pinstripe trim
- Rev counter

I'm near Hungerford but work in Reading so can collect anywhere around there or in between

I don't have the trim items you require but I do have a rev counter.
If you join our club I will give it to you free of charge and postage paid. Hows that for an incentive.

Thanks for the offer - very kind of you - but I don't have the cash spare to join unfortunately.

My 924 was a bit of an impulse buy (I'm into Mk1 Golfs really) so I'd rather keep purchases to a minimum. It probably ought to be a parts car as it's really in quite a poor state, but I'm hoping to get it going for fun.

In addition to the parts above, I don't suppose you (or anyone else) would have a spare dash? And is it possible to retro-fit an oval dash from a 944?

I've got a spare black dash with only a few very small cracks - cracked dashes are the norm on the 924 so uncracked dashes are difficult to find and expensive! Brown dashes seem to crack even more than the black ones and I've yet to see even a half decent brown one. I'm asking £80 plus carriage for the dash.

A swap to an oval dash has been done but I understand it requires quite a lot of work to the wiring and is not a straight swap. I've got three spare oval dashes at £50 each plus carriage - they're in black, linen/black and I think blue but I'd have to check the last one if you're interested. I've also got a full cobalt blue interior for £350 plus carriage. Everything's there - electric front seats, split rear seats, steering wheel, carpets, blue dash, steering wheel, trim panels, etc.
