The front end is covered in flies from the journey home. This is a seriously quick car :) I dont know what chips it has fitted but they are sure doing their job!!! I had it spinning the rear tyres on full bosst at around 70mph in 5th!!!!

Nice one.............loks to be a bargain.........................whats wrong with it then.

Spinning wheels like that suggests really serious power................................ or shiney hard tyres [&:] Be careful out there for LSD`s are more than capable of sending you 90 degrees without warning.

Thanks chaps. The tyres are pretty crap to be honest. It has the usual rust issues down below(sills in places, a wing bottom or two). and the drivers seat needs re-trimming/replacing. It also has an oil leak from the front crank seal. Oh and a damn good service is needed. Its going in to have its belts changed this week so im sure a few more things will be found that need sorting.

Just a quick question, it doesnt have ABS. I thought all the turbos had it or am i wrong?

Cheers,
Stu

Nice looking car there Stuart - welcome to the madhouse !

My '85 turbo didn't have ABS either, not sure when it came along for the 951, similarly the LSD is a later addition. Early cars are good though , less lag and less weight than the later ones and with stronger engines even if in standard form they dont have quite as much grunt.

Congratulations!

If a picture says a thousand words, those pictures are saying "bargain" , "jammy bugger" and words to that effect over and over again!

In fact, put a car cover on it, the police will be round later because at £2500 and you drove it home, proves you stole it! [:D]

Black or white are my colours of choice for the 944 turbo, I like it

I have a good, clean lid you can have for beer money if you like. Make sure the base is sound as mine had a loose nut that got sucked into the turbocharger [] £££££££

Thanks Jon. I simply love these cars in white. The first one i bought was an 84 LUX in arctic white. It was a total dog but i loved it anyway[:D]

Mine did that until I fitted Toyo's ...........wait until you try it in the wet!!!!!

Best to fit the new tyres first.

Not BAD! Welcome to the best decision of your life. If you get any problems with her.. lights staying on full beam, wipers packing up etc its never as bad as you first think and usually (as with both of those examples) can be sorted for less than £1 with a bit of 944 knowhow. Post up here or on Titanic forum and someone will always help other than that have fun[:D] and be careful till your used to her!! Don't want one less 944 in the world.

Regards,

Ben

£2500 was what the guy who had my turbo before me spent on it during his ownership which was 4 months!

I hope Oli isn't reading this thread.

Welcome to boost.

Ditto.

White shows every spec of rust and there doesn't seem to be any. I could get quite jealous if I was that type of person. [;)]

Really not bad at all. Shame they can be had for such piffling amounts!
David
PS Anyone got a spare boot release cable?

That interior needs a damn good clean ! and what's with the soap dish stuck on the steering wheel?
Err OK sorry!!

The thing on the steering wheel is the remote for the stereo and CD changer in the boot. It definitely needs moving elsewhere
