A good honest indie in bucks ?

does any1 know a good indie garage, honest that knows about 944's ? I need to do a compression test and other things.


IN buckinghamshire, slough amersham etc .

I've not used ProMax for servicing but they've done other work that I've been very pleased with too.
For other options a little further south I would also suggest considering JZ Machtec who are good if a little pricey.
However I currently use http://www.rpmtechnik.com/ at Cheddington and would recommend them unreservedly, great value and faultless service.

You won't go wrong with any of those three, I've also used all of them over the years and been happy. JZ are the priciest but probably closest to you if you are in South Bucks

( but I cant get over the fact rpm almost charge double for a clutch than other specialists... that's quite a difference...)

I'd love to know which Porsche Specialists you keep referring to as a quick trawl of the well known and reputable websites reveals the following for a 2.5 Lux clutch change as a menu price including VAT:

JZ Machtech £1136
RPM £908
Hartech £810

These all state they use a genuine clutch which may well cost a little more than an OEM part

Remember that a clutch change takes around 10 hours labour and an OEM part itself is about £350
