A good read

Interesting but ...

IMVHO ... Our V6 is a perfect M4 commute car during the week and at weekends its great to lug the shopping around or the inlaws (who are disabled and cant walk far or drive themselves). Sue and I love walking and geocaching so it does get some regular offroad use as we head deeper into the hills than any one would in a "normal car".. IMO if you track day a Boxster or a 911 .. why would you not Offroad a Cayenne ?????? Thats what its designed for ...And I have to say it does it well even on Road tyres.... Those who say it doesn't have not tried it

Below is one of the numerous pictures from our weeks vacation in the Lake District we took in last week .. Car was excellent .. 4.5 hours to get up from Berks and we arrived so relaxed we set off for a lovely 10 mile walk .. During the week it lived with a boot full of 4 sets of walking kit (we had 2 sets each) .. in the morning dry ... in the evening wet .. Every day the drive back to the hotel over whatever road/route we wanted (including HardKnott in torrential rain... road was under wateron the slopes.. lol) every drive was in comfort... seats excellent and supportive, AC kept the moisture down, heated seats eased aching legs, BOSE blasted out whatever we felt like, Sat NAV worked like a charm (better than by Vodafone GSM /3G phone which was hardly ever connected) ....

IMO a well rounded and focused car for what we want

I had a KNs
Fitted m/s tyres to mine took it off-road - even using it to pull my wife's discovery out whe I got that stuck! At the other end of the spectrum it was great for long journies on the motorway etc, quiet comfortable and effortless.
Only got rid off it because it spent almost as much time at the OPC as it did on the road...unfortunately I often got a V6 as a loaner and I have to say I found that to be too slow for my liking.
When the disco is up for replacement I might be tempted again...
