A good tyre man

Hi all

Can anyone recomend a good tyre man in essex. Need all 4 replaced and it goes without saying I want a good job done without getting fleeced. If there was a company who did a check on the suspension geometry and alloy wheel repair aswell it would be even better.

I've been very happy with Stort Performance tyres in Bishops Stortford - used them for a while now. Do my tyres & did suspension geometry last time in (they have laser alignment equipment). 01279 466466, Unit 7, Raynham Close, Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire CM23 5PJ.
 
I've had good prices and service from Rochford Tyres - Ashingdon Road, Rochford.

It's worth getting some alternative quotes as they do seem receptive to try to meet a price. As Rochford Tyres is wheel specialist they also have the equipment to accomodate the siz of wheels/tyres on a Porsche - some places can't handle them.
 
Tyre tech in Braintree, owns a porker, can watch tyres being fitted, good modern machinery and very freindly to boot. I had my So2's fitted there last year.

highly recomended.

I've been impressed with them as well, very helpful and reasonably priced.

Thanks for all the advice. I live in Braintree so I called Tyre Tech and got a good price and good advice so that seems to be the way to go.

I would recomend Elite on the A13, they are a big outfit with a number of alignment systems, they advertise in 911 and Porsche world on occasion.

I had 4 new tyres and a full computerised geometry check and adjustment with graphical printout the same as JZ, very reasonably priced and it sorted out the steering pull on my 993 a treat.
